Two Haiku by Pat Kopanda

through the blinds
shadows of leaves drift past
one eye open
still sleeping
on my side of the bed
another Thanksgiving

  1. Can relate to the second haiku, the art of surviving a very stressful time.

Hoping both you, Frank and Pat have a safe and happy holiday season.

  2. The pairing of pictures with poetry is just lovely. All the photos are lovely but the two that draw my eye the most are the one with the gnarled branches on the top left, and the one with the dried pods of berries underneath. The haiku just sets such a vivid scene. The senryu made me smile, because a reliable place in a good bed is something to be thankful for.
