Frank Hubeny

Frank Hubeny is a retired database engineer. He is married and currently lives in Northbrook, Illinois.

He grew up in northwestern Indiana on a farm on County Road 55 between Lake Village and Roselawn. He attended the former Lincoln School in Roselawn and St Augustine School in Rensselaer. He later attended St Joseph’s College in Rensselaer from 1968 to 1972.

Most of his metrical poetry, short prose, photography and audio he posts on https://frankhubeny.blog. He is also in the final stages of publishing his first collection of poetry and short prose called Waiting. He is a “bartender” at dVerse Poets Pub where he periodically hosts and writes poetry prompts. His writing has appeared in Haibun Today and Ancient Paths Literary Magazine.

He joined Prairie Writers Guild in 2017. He is also a board member and historian of the Illinois State Poetry Society and a member of Poets and Patrons of Chicago.
